A new poll from Survey USA finds U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Louisville) with an upside-down approval rating of 44 to 47 percent.
That represents a dramatic decline from their latest survey in May when 57 percent of respondents approved of the senator, while only 37 percent disapproved. The current score ties a previous all-time low measured by the polling firm in November 2007.
McConnell can take some solace in the fact that the trend isn't exclusive to him alone. His colleague U.S. Sen. Jim Bunning (R-Southgate) experienced a similar, though less dramatic reversal in his approval ratings.
