Beshear announces $10.8 million for median cable barriers

‘Switch and drill’ energy policy from Landham camp
Termed the "Switch and drill" platform, Libertarian Senate candidate and former actor Sonny Landham released an energy plan today centering on decreasing demand for oil from member states of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries [OPEC] by allowing more domestic drilling and encouraging the use of hydrogen as a fuel. Beshear taps major fund-raiser for post
Gov. Steve Beshear has made room on the state payroll for a veteran Kentucky Democratic Party fund-raiser and Frankfort lobbyist.
One of Beshear's newest appointments is Stephanie C. Bell, 42, a policy adviser at the Public Service Commission. She started June 1 and gets $72,000 a year, according to state records. (Herald Leader, John Cheves)
