Poll: Clinton has 26-point lead

On the day before the primary, Sen. Hillary Clinton leads Sen. Barack Obama by a substantial margin in Kentucky, a Suffolk University poll found.

Clinton scored 51 percent and Obama came in at 25 percent in the poll of 600 likely primary voters.

John Edwards, who dropped out of the Democratic field in January, still got 6 percent support. Edwards has since endorsed Obama.

Eleven percent were still undecided.

The poll found 41 percent saying Obama would be the next president, followed by Republican John McCain (25 percent), Clinton (13 percent), and 20 percent undecided.

Asked which candidate was more electable against McCain, 46 percent chose Clinton and 39 percent Obama.

When many voices cry out Let them not be forgotten

Voices

"Voices" Digital Camera
By Floyd Patrick(Photographer/ Poet)
These works are a part of the 'urban voices' collection.

Voices
When many voices cry out;
Let them not be forgotten.
If you see the writing on the wall;
Let them not be forgotten.
You that hears and says nothing;
Let them not be forgotten.
Less you miss the teachings of the future.
Let them not be forgotten. 01/02/2006

Your Needs

"Your Needs" (Digital Camera) By Floyd Patrick(Photographer/ Poet)

Your Needs
You that mock me;
Spoke in tongues not known to me.
You that watched me carry a heavy load when part of it was yours and others.
You that saw me sweat.
It was all me.
Now I watch you. 09/05/2001

Wonder

"Wonder" (Digital Camera) By Floyd Patrick(Photographer/ Poet)

Wonder
You that wonders;
Always going somewhere
Sometimes oblivious of the goings on of others
Doing your own thing in your environment
I sometimes wonder who you answer to
It seems you please yourself and maintain an air of invincibility
And yet very gracious and smooth
Yes, I admire you and all your mysteries. 18/05/2001

The Fruit

"The Fruit" (Digital Camera) By Floyd Patrick(Photographer/ Poet)

The Fruit
As I sit here eating this rather delicious fruit with it's tropical flavour;
One can not help but feel Yes
This fruit, this produce, this banana grown by the Caribbean continent in great hardship with expectations of fair play.
But No.
This Fruit, and others like, are used to suppress, to slow down,
sometimes even to break a nation,
A continent; A people.
So I eat you knowing your worth. 06/06/2001

This Day

"This Day" (Digital Camera) By Floyd Patrick(Photographer/ Poet)

This Day
A day for all to search their conscience;
To decide whether they want social justice for all.
Starting from the bottom.
To raise heads and dreams.
A day which many have paid the ultimate price for.
So it is,
I shall make my mark for all the hopes and dreams of the young and old
And maybe somewhere along the line
I shall rejoice in their future. 07/06/2001

The Vanity

"The Vanity" (Digital Camera) By Floyd Patrick(Photographer/ Poet)

The Vanity
How often we seek to have the latest items?
The most fashionable garments that complement the shape and structure of our body
With a hint of desire in our expression. What a price?
What heart ache?
What expense?
What a waste of time?
As we are all born naked with no positions what so ever.
What is inside and the body to carry us and yet everybody is loved unconditionally.
Be true to yourself.
