Former Governor Brown pens criticism of Fischer attack ad

Former Kentucky Governor John Y. Brown denounced a recent attack ad by Senate candidate Greg Fischer as "character assassination" in a letter circulated by the campaign of candidate Bruce Lunsford this weekend.

Brown, who was Governor of the Commonwealth from 1979 to 1983, labelled Fischer's attacks as "untruthful" in the letter sent to newspaper editors and media outlets statewide on Sunday.

Former SoS Brown endorses Lunsford

Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Bruce Lunsford lined up another endorsement today in his bid to win his party's nomination and a chance to unseat four-term incumbent U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Louisville).

Former Kentucky Secretary of State John Y. Brown, III announced his support of Lunsford via email this afternoon. Brown touted Lunsford's other endorsements and high poll numbers in support of his candidacy.
