Is there such thing as a free lunch?

The Kentucky Democratic Party picked up the lunch tab for about 20 lobbyists yesterday at Serafini in downtown Frankfort.

Beyond the appetizers and entrees, Dems Chair Jennifer Moore told the Courier Journal that the get together was "to go over what's happening with the Kentucky democratic Party."

"I told them about what the part's going to be focusing on this year from elections all the way to the conetion process," said Moore.

"Lobbyists are a group of people that can raise money for the Democratic Party or the Republican Party," Moore said. "It's just as if you would ask anybody. I ask people every single day to raise money for the Democratic Party. That's part of my job as the chair."

According to the Courier Journal, lobbyists in attendance included: former Secretary of State John Y. Brown III; former Kentucky Democratic Party Chairman Terry McBrayer; former Secretary of State and Auditor Bob Babbage; James "Jitter" Allen; Chris Nolan; Ronnie Pryor; Andrew "Skipper" Martin; Russ Woodward; Greg Brotzge; Greg Higdon; Maresa Fawns; and Linda Magee.
