Laura Bush visits Lincoln's hometown

Laura Bush

First Lady Laura Bush will be in Kentucky for the second time in less than a month today as she pays a visit to the hometown of Abraham Lincoln, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.

Mrs. Bush will visit Abraham Lincoln Elementary School in Hodgenville today for an event closed to the public.

The trip from the First Lady comes after she cancelled an earlier planned visit in February due to incliment weather. That visit was to coincide with a celebration of Lincoln's 199th Birthday.

Mrs. Bush visited Shepherdsville earlier this month for a campaign appearance with area Republicans, including now-Congressman-elect Brett Guthrie (R-Bowling Green).
