Voter Registration Up as Primary Approaches

The Kentucky electorate expanded by 21,000 new voters in January and February, as the May 20 presidential primary in the Commonwealth will be relevant for the first time in decades.

USA Today reports registration figures in six of the eight states with forthcoming Democratic primaries have seen a similar spike in registrations.

April 22 is the last day for Kentucky voters to register to be eligible to vote in the primary election.
