McConnell's advice to Dems: govern in the middle

Minority Leader Mitch McConnell recently commented on what he thinks could be challenges for the upcoming Democratic Congress. He also shared his view that they should "govern from the middle": "There are going to be a lot of differences among Democrats in the House and the Senate: Those who kind of share my view that you ought to govern in the middle; and those who have a sense of frustration that they've been out of power so long and want to go down and check the box and satisfy every left-wing group."

McConnell recently scored a 100 percent from the Christian Coalition, 92 percent from the American Conservative Union, 43 percent from the John Birch Society, 100 percent from Americans for Prosperity, 53 percent from the Club for Growth and 66 percent from the Traditional Values Coalition.
